Hello everyone! I'm here with exciting news today!
Spell Blaster will be exhibited at this year's Playthrough GC in Raleigh, North Carolina. The convention is March 18th and 19th.

This will be Spell Blaster's first appearance at an event and I'm really excited to attend! Please register for tickets if you're able to come out. Would love to hang out and meet some of you wonderful backers!
I'll also be debuting a brand new demo at the event, so if you can make it you'll be among the first to get your hands on the experience.

Spooky Graveyard Zone has some spooky surprises in store for you! Prepare to fight off against ghosts, zombies and other frightful creatures as you make your way to a strange manor deep in the woods...
This zone is definitely one of my favorites, and I'm sure it will be an instant classic for a lot of people! Especially with the amazing tunes our composer Karl has created.
Development and Release Date Update:
When I launched the Kickstarter, I chose November 2022 as rough guess. Unfortunately, as is the nature of game development, we tend to underestimate the work load. So today I would like to update the release to 2023. I'm trying my hardest as a solo developer to work diligently on the game while balancing my day job and other life responsibilities. Sometimes it is a real struggle, but I promise you that this game will be completed, and all backer rewards will be fulfilled!

For the longest time I was struggling to figure out the progression & reward/unlock systems for the game. It's not too hard to come up with a concept for a game, but the real challenge for me has been settling on a direction for the game's progression that felt satisfying. I want to make sure that Spell Blaster is a game that is not only fun to play, but keeps players engaged, surprised, and offers replayability and challenge. I have finally worked those details out after going back and forth on many ideas for months. Now I'm more confident than ever in the future of the game. 🥳

Hello everyone, hope you've had a great June so far!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to meet my planned goals to release a new demo tomorrow. I took some time off away from my day job in order to crunch as hard as I could, but there's still some work to be done. The nature of being a solo indie dev means sometimes unexpected things pop up and deadlines can be tough to meet. I hope you'll understand.
In the mean time, here's the plan for the remainder of this month and into next:

Expected Release - June
This release will be for backers only.
The purpose of this first part will be to get feedback and testing for new/updated design and mechanics.
Demo Part Two:
Expected Release - July
This release will be for backers only.
The long awaited two player mode will finally be available for testing for the first time.
